Puppy training
All the information you need on caring for your puppy and some of the Private Pawfect Obedience Training Program training exercises. Remainder taught in the second session.
Pets as Therapy Dogs Assessments
For those wishing to have both themselves and their dog Government Accredited to attend Hospitals, Aged Care and other venues.
Snake Awareness Training
We specialise in training your dog to actively avoid encounters with snakes and blue tongue lizards.
Our training involves live venomous snakes native to Victoria, including tiger, brown, copperhead, and red-belly black snakes, as well as non-venomous pythons and blue tongue lizards. It is crucial to use live snakes to capture the distinct odours emitted, as dead skin, scat, or deceased snakes do not produce the same scent.
Obedience Certificate
The Obedience certificate shows that a dog and its owner have achieved a basic level of obedience training. Dogs with this certificate may also qualify for discounted registration with their local council. The certificate is valid across Victoria.
Owners can present the certificate to the relevant registration body to receive the concession listed in Column 2 of the Schedule under the Domestic (Feral & Nuisance) Animals Act 1994.
This assessment is not for competition dogs. It simply checks that a dog and its owner meet a basic standard of obedience for everyday pet ownership.
